History

EDI Health Group has earned an industry-wide reputation for being the first to pioneer web-based dental EDI solutions. Established in 1989 as EIS, the company joined forces with Medident Systems in 1999. In 2003, the companies formally merged under the EDI Health Group, Inc. banner. DentalXChange.com was acquired the following year from a coalition of major insurance companies and in 2007, DentalXChange earned EHNAC accreditation in order to ensure optimal privacy and security in following HIPAA protocol.

Through its own clearinghouse, WebClaim™ and ClaimConnect™ portals, the company annually processes nearly 20 million EDI transactions, consisting of more than 15 million in healthcare claims.
